one of camel s bandmembers suggested doing an entire album based on a book. a number of books were eligible but the emotional appeal to the snow goose by paul gallico was so strong they started writing and recording a concept album that would portray their vision of the story. the result, the instrumental the snow goose, turned out to be their breakthrough.

wave turned out to be the last album the patti smith group would record, as it was also last album smith would record before a nine year hiatus. the godmother of punk decided to focus on her family life and moved to michigan, but not before leaving us with gems like the sexually mysterious >dancing barefoot< (dedicated to her husband to be fred sonic smith) and her amazing, biting version of >so you want to be (a rock n roll star)<. produced by todd rundgren, this is her most pop-oriented album, and many at the time could not appreciate her more accessible sound. nevertheless, wave, her spoken word tribute to pope john paul i (who reigned for only 33 days) is as touching and harrowing now as when it came out in 1979. available on vinyl for the first time since its original release!

first a made up sound release in over a year, following up on the rear window excursion on delsin, the clone basement release and the 2562 fever lp. it features that >left-right track?< heard in many a 2562 / a made up sound dj-sets over the last months. the flip contains a piece of congealed frustration we had to get out of our system before it got worse, as well as the original beatless version of the a-side to calm down again, somewhat. already massive reactions from all the hot guns but of course decide for yourself!

rhein-main based tag team diggler & franksen go back some way in the history of frankfurts electronic scene. around 2000 diggler honed his reputation as a master of dubby techno for a whole decade. his early tracks like >boogiemonster< are blueprints of cool. period. today he is still rollin out crisp and deep techhouse beats that combine musical finesse, compositional tension and club appeal. having released about six albums and countless tracks and remixes for labels from raummusik to cocoon and from resopal to level non zero, diggler is still on the hunt for the proper dose of beat hypnosis.
for their >morning blue ep< diggler teams up with frankfurts radio legend franksen who hosts germanys eldest dj show, todays you fm clubnight. franksen saw a string of releases over the last two years, collaborating for labels such as suara, dieb.audio, kommmitmusik, plastic city and more.

nice price deal !!! bran van 300 is a musical circus orchestrated by james di salvio. known for there 1998 hit >drinking in la<, this unconventional collective is based out of montreal but also la, and even mexico. this is taken from their most recent album >the garden<, and features the vocals of freddie james, a child star of the disco days in montreal famous for his 1979 hit >everybody, get up & boogie<. fast forward 30 years and we have this amazing collaboration between bran van and freddie that we just had to get our hands on!
